skip navigationThe Row New Jersey girls program had an impressive weekend performance at the USRowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship in West Windsor, New Jersey. The team competed over two days against the top boats from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut and New York. The girls program had 6 out of 7 boats advance to finals, with 4 boats medaling.
The team’s performance was led by the Women’s Youth 4+, who became Mid-Atlantic Champions in that event for the first time in program history.
The Youth 4+ boat was comprised of rowers Emily Kilroy, Annabelle Hermey, Kelly Kim, Arielle Nusbaum and coxswain Kylie Deitz. After a strong performance in the time trial on Saturday they backed it up with another impressive race in the final on Sunday to capture the regional championship, 5 seconds ahead of regional silver medalist Blair Academy.
The Row New Jersey girls also found success in the Youth 2- event. Caroline Fabiano and Elizabeth Enriquez placed second in the region, while the duo of Nicole Collins and Alex Timoney placed third in the region.
Finally the U17 4+ rowed by novice rowers Arden Maloney, Victoria Nicely, Emily Tierney, Kalia Cheung and coxed by Claire Stolarkski finished the weekend with a silver medal.
